Ishtar Hsu’s works are often presented in shattered images, photographic collages, abstract textures, and zoom-in displays. In the process of creation, she has always indulged herself in questioning the common sense of beauty, keeping trying to break the rules that limit us and the entire society. At present, Ishtar is a freelance graphic designer and also a visual artist, swinging between 3-D objects and 2-D images with various medias that include ready-made items, resin, pottery, moving images, a home printer, collages, and an iPhone 6X that has been dropped for many times.
網站:https://ishtarhsu.com/ In Chiao Chun's works he normally shows a personal vocabulary that relates to my personal history and background as well as the possibilities and questions in contemporary art and design. He works in a wide variety of media, in which he visualises the human deficiency in drawings, paintings and sculptures, both deeply and lightly. This reflection is both a confrontation and a mix of his personal experience and the contemporary Western culture. The method Itend to use is the combination of sharp observations and the often humorous appearance which also connecting the story of being human with contemporary motifs and materials. This makes him a detective of time, in which his experiences give him a relatively objective perspective to hold a mirror and showing the awkward attempts with the world we relate to (im) possibilities.
